The Problem: According to the study Financial Capability in the United States 2016, by the FINRA Investor Education Foundation nearly two thirds of participants are spending as much or more than they currently earn. While 46% have put aside an emergency fund, almost 40% have never even tried to figure out how much they will need for retirement even though almost half of the respondents say they are worried about retirement. Financial Literacy/Education is at the crux of an enormous challenge, that is: “How do we create and support competent successful stewards of their own finances”.
Making a difference: Truly independent, we are not affiliated with any bank, brokerage firm, or other financial institution. Prosper America is a 501(c)3 public charity.
